This full-time position assists with all activities authorized by Iowa State Code 29C, working under the direct supervision of the Emergency Management Coordinator. The role involves coordinating emergency responses, preparing for various hazards, and liaising with multiple agencies to ensure public safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating responses to multi-hazard emergencies and disasters
- Coordinate emergency preparedness procedures and resources for county areas
- Work with local responders and agencies to protect the public during changing weather conditions
- Develop and conduct training programs for emergency response personnel
- Coordinate activities of the Emergency Operations Center during exercises and events
- Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of EOC communications and equipment
- Coordinate volunteer support from various agencies and organizations
