The National Weather Service (NWS) is seeking talented individuals to join their team of over 2,000 meteorologists and Hydrometeorological Technicians (HMTs) across more than 150 offices in the United States. This opportunity is ideal for recent meteorology graduates or those looking to start or advance their careers in meteorology. The NWS plays a crucial role in providing weather, water, and climate data, forecasts, and warnings for the protection of life and property and enhancement of the national economy.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze weather data and prepare forecasts
- Issue warnings for severe weather events
- Operate and maintain weather monitoring equipment
- Communicate weather information to the public and stakeholders
- Contribute to research and development of forecasting techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or related field
- Knowledge of atmospheric sciences and weather forecasting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Proficiency in meteorological software and tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
